Playing the Dame

When playing a panto dame, always remember, and this is important, that there should be doubt in the audience’s mind that you are a man in over the top women’s clothing . Your costume will be your first laugh, after that you should ignore the costume until you change into the next one. I personally like to change for every entrance; it keeps the magic of panto going and the audiences enthralled. Comedy costumes + great gags & blokey delivery = you can’t fail!
